If there was, what I could call, a turning point in my life I would say it was finding and watching a movie called “The Shift” starring Dr. Wayne Dyer. In this movie Dr. Dyer explores the spiritual journey in the second half of life when we long to find the purpose that is our unique contribution to the world.
The powerful shift from the ego constructs we are taught early in life by parents and society, which promote an emphasis on achievement and accumulation, are shown in contrast to a life of meaning, focused on serving and giving back.
With many books, audios and televised events as well being an internationally recognised speaker, Wayne Dyer has encouraged and helped millions of people find their inner strengths.
Two of his many book that I would also recommend are “Living the Wisdom of the Tao” which offers you an opportunity to internalize and directly experience the great wisdom of the Tao Te Ching, a collection of verses authored by the Chinese prophet Lao-tzu.
The other is “Excuses Be Gone”. In this book you’ll ultimately realize that there are no excuses worth defending, ever, even if they’ve always been part of your life—and the joy of releasing them will resonate throughout your very being.
Allowing Now
Allowing is thinking about what you want truly want from life and then letting it go. Releasing it to the Universe and trusting that the Divine Source will deliver that which you desire. It does not mean that no action is required or that you wait and expect things to happen. However, those actions will be right actions when you allow and flow peacefully through life.
